Leadership

Tad Fallows

Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder

Tad has led iLab’s business operations since co-founding the company in 2006. Tad works intensively with procurement, administrative, and research leaders to identify opportunities for leveraging iLab’s technology to help researchers. He also oversees iLab’s financial and legal operations.

Prior to joining iLab, Tad worked as a consultant in McKinsey & Company’s Boston office. He served leading North American and European biotech, pharmaceutical, and technology companies. His previous professional experience included positions with Microsoft and Citigroup. Tad graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University.

Sriram Gollapalli

Chief Operating Officer, Co-Founder

Sriram manages iLab’s security, infrastructure and support operations. Sriram ensures that iLab delivers a best-in-class experience to all users and administrators. He also manages iLab’s human resources operations.

Sriram draws on over a decade of developing and supporting online applications to deliver secure, robust solutions and provide outstanding user support. Before co-founding iLab, Sriram worked as a technology consultant with Science Applications International Corporation and Deloitte Consulting. He used emerging technologies to design and implement solutions for global health care and technology companies, as well as the United States government. His work particularly focused on enhancing the reliability of IT services. Earlier in his career, Sriram worked as a software engineer for Intel. He completed graduate level research in online collaboration tools at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), where he also earned his B.S. in Computer Science. He currently serves on the CMU School of Computer Science Alumni Advisory Board.

Andreas Hagen

Chief Software Architect, Co-Founder

Andreas has led and continues to lead the development of iLab’s web-based services. He works directly with procurement professionals, researchers, and administrators at iLab’s partner organizations to refine and realize the vision for the iLab system.

Andreas brings deep experience in both the conduct and management of scientific research; Andreas spent six years as a cancer researcher at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He has published research in journals such as Cell, Blood and Developmental Cell. Prior to co-founding iLab, he built lab management systems still in use at universities in the United States, Canada and China. Andreas holds an A.B. in Biology from Harvard University.

Heather Lorenz

Vice President of Business Development

Heather is iLab’s Vice President of Business Development. She focuses on working with research institutions to understand their objectives and design solutions. Additionally, she oversees iLab’s Marketing efforts, communicating the value and functionality that the iLab service offers.

Heather brings a deep knowledge of biomedical research, from both a scientific and business perspective. Heather spent eight years at Genentech, as a bio-process engineer and internal financial auditor. Heather received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Colorado State University.

Bas van der Brugge

Vice President of Client Operations

Bas manages the Implementation Team that is responsible for successfully deploying iLab’s solutions at client organizations. This team works very closely with customers to optimize their workflow, tailor the software to their specific needs, train staff and users, and oversee integrations with client IT systems.

Bas brings years of management and advisory knowledge from past positions with management consultancy McKinsey & Company and investment bank Mirus Capital Advisors. Bas graduated with a Master of Science degree in Financial Econometrics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and holds a Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Chris Lopes

Director of Customer Support

As Director of Customer Support, Chris leads iLab’s Customer Support team by developing policies, strategies and metrics that are tied to superior customer service. The Customer Support team’s key objective is to deliver effective and efficient support in a timely manner to all iLab users.

Prior to iLab, Chris worked as a Mechanical Engineer, coordinating closely with technicians, customers, and architects. Chris earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Enguerran Loos

Director of European Business Development

Enguerran leads iLab’s effort to introduce its services to research institution in Continental Europe. He works closely with European researchers to understand their specific needs, as well as with iLab’s product design and implementation’s team to bring them pertinent solutions.

Prior to joining iLab, Enguerran worked as a Manager in McKinsey & Company’s Boston office and has experience as a Venture Capital Associate at Turenne Capital, based in Paris. In these positions, he gained extensive experience of the healthcare and technology industries in Europe. Enguerran received his MBA from Columbia Business School and a Masters in Computer Engineering from ESIEA-Paris.

Business Development

Alicia

Marketing Manager

Alicia leads the development and execution of marketing strategy for iLab. Her primary focus is to assemble and coordinate the tools and resources needed to communicate with both current and potential iLab partners. These communications include participation at scientific conferences, creation of white papers, social media, and email marketing.

Alicia brings years of business experience, as both a manager and an owner. Prior to iLab, Alicia worked as a Marketing Manager for WRC & Associates. Alicia earned a B.S. in Recreation from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Alejandra

Marketing Associate

Alejandra’s role at iLab is to reach out to potential clients through email marketing.

Prior to joining the team, Alejandra worked at the U.S. Department of Education and at the American Institutes for Research, where she interacted extensively with partners, clients and grantees. She works as an independent translator and holds a B.A. in Art History and an M.A. in International Affairs.

Mel

Marketing Associate

As a Marketing Associate, Mel primarily focuses on new market research and email marketing to effectively communicate the advantages that iLab offers.

Prior to her work at iLab, Mel was an instructor at the Minnesota School of Business-Moorhead. She graduated with a BA in Education from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.

Megan

Account Manager

As an Account Manager, Megan’s primary goal is to work with academic research leaders. In this role, she seeks to identify opportunities for leveraging iLab’s technology to streamline the core facility business process.

Prior to joining iLab, Megan worked for Bovis Lend Lease, where she managed the build of the LEED Gold Certified Thomas Jefferson School of Law as well as The Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach. Megan holds a B.A. in Business Economics from UC Santa Barbara and was named to the All-Academic team as a women’s water polo player.

Eva

Business Development Associate, Europe

As a Business Development Associate, Eva communicates iLab’s services to research institutions in Continental Europe. These communications include participation at scientific conferences, on-line and in-person demos, and email marketing.

Prior to joining the team, Eva worked at the German House of Science and Innovation in Sao Paulo, Brazil, a German Government project. There she worked with ministries, universities and scientific institutions in both Germany and Brazil. She holds a Masters of Science in Business Management and Marketing from the University of Applied Sciences in Gelsenkirchen

Finance and HR

Jill

Finance Associate

As a Finance Associate, Jill focuses on ensuring iLab’s compliance with regulatory, legal, financial, and insurance requirements. Jill assists in the design, development and implementation of customer and industry surveys. Jill also manages iLab’s relationships with insurance brokers and accounting professionals.

Prior to joining iLab, Jill worked as a teacher for the Seattle Schools as well as a Site Director for the Issaquah School District’s school age care program. Jill graduated Cum Laude from Seattle Pacific University with a BA in Education and Language Arts and received her Master of Science in Educational Technology from Walden University.

Implementation and Support

Darah

Quality Control Manager

As Quality Control Manager, Darah assures consistent quality in production and customer service standards. She has a leading role in customer support, maintains product and process documentation, and manages a range of quality control activities.

Prior to iLab, Darah worked as an Engineering Technician in the Research and Development department for Aspen Technologies. Earlier in her career, Darah spent five years as a Research Associate at the Institute for Bioenergetics at the University of Colorado. Darah earned both her B.A. and Masters Degree in biology from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs.

Jess

Customer Partnerships Manager

As a Customer Partnerships Manager, Jess works with institutions implementing iLab’s shared resource management system. In this role, she communicates regularly with customer project managers and coordinates internal iLab resources to ensure a successful deployment process.

Prior to iLab, Jess Evans worked as a Naturalist at Kentucky State Parks developing and leading the environmental education program for three years. Before working for parks, she assisted the Army with remaining in compliance with historic preservation laws at Fort Knox Army Installation. She received her B.A. and Masters of Science in Anthropology at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Siri

Customer Partnerships Manager

As a Customer Partnerships Manager, Siri works with institutions implementing iLab’s shared resource management system. In this role, she communicates regularly with customer project managers and coordinates internal iLab resources to ensure a successful deployment process.

Prior to joining iLab, Siri worked as a project manager in the education, accounting, and medical industries. She earned a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Washington and a Masters in Business Administration.

Sarah

Implementation Associate

Sarah is an associate on iLab’s Implementation and Customer Support teams. Sarah focuses on iLab’s core facility management tools, helping cores successfully begin and continue use of the iLab service.

Prior to joining iLab, Sarah worked for Edward Jones as a Branch Office Administrator and in agency support for Farmer’s Insurance. Sarah brings over seven years of customer service experience building trusting and successful relationships. Sarah has a B.S. degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO.

Danielle

Implementation Associate

Danielle is an Associate on iLab’s Implementation and Customer Support Team. Danielle helps new cores to begin using iLab’s Core Facility Management tools.

Prior to joining iLab, Danielle worked in Lab Management and Research Technician roles at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, coordinating closely with researchers and administrators. Danielle graduated Cum Laude from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Kinesiology.

Rebekah

Implementation Associate

Becky is an Associate on iLab’s Implementation and Customer Support team. Becky focuses on iLab’s Core Facility Management tools, helping cores to begin use of the iLab service.

Prior to joining iLab, Becky taught at Tahoma School District as well as with inner city youth at both Boys and Girls Club of America and CryOut! where she continues to volunteer today. Before teaching, Becky worked at T-Mobile USA and the Department of Child and Family Services. Becky earned her B.A. in Sociology and Communications from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington.

Joseph

Implementation and Marketing Associate

Joey is an Associate on iLab’s Implementation and Customer Support team, focusing on the Lab Management system. He also works with iLab’s Marketing team to effectively communicate the advantages that iLab offers.

Before joining iLab, Joey worked in communications for Eliot Cutler’s gubernatorial campaign in Maine and for the Justice Policy Institute in Washington, DC. He graduated from Hamilton College with a B.A. in English and Economics.

Jessica

Implementation Associate

Jess is an Associate on iLab’s Implementation and Customer Support team. Jess focuses on iLab’s Core Facility Management tools, helping cores to begin use of the iLab service

Jessica brings over 7 years of experience from the customer service industry, focusing on building business through growing lasting customer relationships. Prior to joining iLab, she worked as an assistant manager with Nordstrom, and also previously held positions with Starbucks and Farmers Insurance. Jessica earned her B.S. in Restaurant and Resort Management from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO.
